US seeks Out Indians To Nurse Citizens 


Washington June-12: Indian nurses who wish to work abroad have one more option now. In the US there are openings for tens of thousands of nurses. The situation has reached such a pass that Hospitals in Washington have offered a private recruiters $1 million in fees to deliver 235 foreign nurses within a month. The Washington post reports. These Hospitals are hiring free lancers and paying them $70 an hour (Rs 3200) to fill up more than three thousand vacancies.

A serve of 750 hospitals found 1,26,000 job openings for nurses last week. Full time nurses are paid $25 an hour much higher than wages in India. As average age retirement of nurses is 45, they've no choice but to look overseas.
